About Us

Portlaw Combined Alpha Lotto is a community lottery organisation that was set up to provide finance for the following 5 local clubs:

Portlaw Soccer Club
Portlaw GAA Club
Portlaw Musical Society
Portlaw Camogie Club
Portlaw Pipe Band

Tickets are priced at €2 per ticket or €10 for a family book. Four letters need to be selected from A-Z.

The Portlaw Alpha Lotto draw takes place each week for the accumulated jackpot. Four letters are picked from the lotto drum and the winner is contacted if the four lucky letters are chosen. If the weekly draw is not won then €150 is added to the jackpot for the following week and will continue to do so until the jackpot is won. Once the jackpot is won the prize will revert back to €1,000.

*All draws are scrutinised by an independent member of the public and the seller of the winning ticket receives €50.

Every week the Portlaw Alpha Lotto gives out five cash prizes:

One winner of €80.00
One winner of €50.00
Three winners of €35.00
One seller's prize of €35.00

*These winners are picked from all the tickets sold the week of the draw.

All the proceeds from the Portlaw Alpha Lotto are dispersed between the aforementioned clubs at the end of every month.
